Townhead Estate Styled Shoot

May 12, 2021 | Branding, Weddings

I hadn’t been half heartedly scrolling through my Instagram I would never have never have seen Jo Greenfield’s story. She was offering the opportunity for one lucky photographer to accompany her on a styled shoot at Townhead Estate in the Lake District.

Context: Jo Greenfield is a bit of a wedding photography hero of mine and a staple of my Instagram feed providing a constant stream of humour and inspiration. (https://jogreenfieldphotographer.com)

This chance was first come first serve, so I slid into her DM’s in just shy of 9 minutes and the place was mine & I was over the moon!

Emma from Tebbey & Co was the talented lady behind the design and styling of this shoot. Emma created the most amazing looks in this new venue which is still technically a working construction site, this is no mean feat and showcased her professionalism. The colour palette consisted of crisp whites, blues with accent deep purples. The overall look was simple, editorial styling with a nod to destination weddings which you can see from some of the courtyard photographs. Hello Tuscany vibes!

We even had the unique chance to get out on Lake Windermere with the models on a vintage wooden boat for an hour. You can actually hire a boat like this for real weddings as Townhead Estate has a newly refurbished their jetty. Can you imagine?

Jo was an absolute pleasure to work with, she is just the most down to earth person who put me at ease straight away. She was more than happy to share her depth of knowledge with me by chatting all things wedding photography. I actually can’t thank her enough for inviting me along and for her invaluable advice. As naff as it sounds, they say never meet your hero’s but I am sooo very glad I did.

I drove home with a lap full of beautiful flowers, artisan bread and a boatload of motivation.

All the suppliers and involved were all utterly fantastic and so I will let the images do the talking!
